Advisory Boards

Man and woman standing and talking

CGC’s governance structure is built to ensure transparency, accountability, and community participation in decision-making. Through its advisory boards and committees, CGC brings together public, private, and community expertise to guide strategy, investment, and impact.

National Advisory Board
(NAB)

Appointed by CGC’s Board of Directors, the NAB serves as an independent advisory body providing guidance on investment priorities and strategies. Its members bring national expertise across clean energy, finance, and community development—helping shape CGC’s strategic direction and ensure long-term effectiveness.

Regional Advisory Councils (RACs)

The RACs represent all 10 EPA regions and Tribal Nations, ensuring that local perspectives directly inform CGC’s investment and policy decisions. Members contribute regional insight and practical experience to help tailor investments to community needs, advancing broad-based economic opportunity and clean energy benefits across the country.

Together, these advisory bodies strengthen CGC’s mission by embedding community representation, regional insight, and fairness into every level of governance—ensuring that investments improve air and water quality, expand clean energy access, and build lasting economic impact for all Americans.

Appointed by CGC’s Board of Directors, the National Advisory Board (NAB) serves as an independent body providing national strategic guidance to  CGC’s leadership on investments, programs, and partnerships. Bringing together leaders from clean energy, finance, housing, and community development, the NAB helps ensure CGC’s work remains effective and aligned with community needs nationwide.

To ensure investments reach all Americans, CGC established the Regional Advisory Councils (RAC), a transparent governance model that gives community and Tribal stakeholders a meaningful voice in decision-making. Representatives on the RAC use their expertise and lived experience to help CGC serve diverse communities across all ten EPA regions and Tribal areas, shaping investment strategies and customer solutions that reflect local needs and opportunities for community energy systems.
