Chani is the Senior Director of Quality Assurance at CGC. Her career spans more than 20 years of energy, finance, policy and sustainability experience.

She began her career in clean energy finance at PACE Global Energy Services, a Siemens Business, a leading provider of strategic energy consulting services.  She then joined the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). During her tenure she oversaw energy efficiency and renewable energy technical assistance teams, developed the state and local Energy Savings Performance Contracting program, led DOE’s first Green Bank initiatives, participated in developing the Quadrennial Energy Review reports and managed over $500 million of solar, energy efficiency and grid infrastructure awards. Chani was also the director of policy and public engagement at Renovate America, one of the largest providers of financing for energy-and-water efficient home improvements in the U.S. The company securitized over $3 billion in green bonds attracting both local and international investments to meet U.S. clean energy objectives.  Prior to joining CGC, Chani provided consulting services to several of U.S. EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund awardees on their quality assurance project plans, subrecipient selection and project eligibility.

Chani holds a B.A. in political science from Wheaton College and an M.B.A from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.   She currently resides in Massachusetts with her two children and volunteers with Meals on Wheels.
