From October 2015 to May 2024, William Pate was CEO of Par Pacific Holdings in Houston, TX, and served on the Board of Directors for Resources for the Future in Washington, DC. Prior to this, he was CIO at Equity Group Investments in Chicago, IL, advancing from Associate to CIO from 2000-2013. Bill also chaired the Board of Directors at Covanta Holding Corporation from October 2004 to September 2015, leading restructuring and acquisitions. Earlier, he was an Associate at The Blackstone Group in New York, NY.
