Caleb Cunningham

Caleb Cunningham is an Associate on CGC’s Investment team, where he helps originate, structure, and execute sustainable infrastructure investments. He is based in New York City.

Caleb is a career climate professional with experience spanning project development, investing, and entrepreneurship. Prior to CGC, he served as CFO of Standard Microgrid, a solar microgrid developer that brought first-time electricity access to ~13,000 rural villagers in Zambia. There, he helped grow the company from a startup into a 100+ person team, raised over $13 million in capital, and led Zambia’s first rural electrification PPP with the government and the World Bank.

He has also worked at Generate Capital, investing in FOAK (“first-of-a-kind”) sustainable infrastructure; Lowercarbon Capital, backing early-stage climate technologies; NRG Renewables and SunEdison, developing large-scale solar and storage projects across the U.S. Caleb is also active in various efforts to help climate tech startups bridge the FOAK gap to project finance at scale.

Caleb graduated with honors from Middlebury College, holds an MPA from Harvard, and an MBA from Stanford.
