CHRISTMAS MEDITATIONS
I.
Luke 2:7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him
in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for
them in the inn. (NIV)
We would like to encourage you this Christmas season to seriously
consider making room at the Inn, to receive Christ as your personal
Lord and savior that you might find eternal life.
II.
Matt 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you are
to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their
sins." (NIV)
God saw that the sins of the heart within was a greater
enemy than the Roman slavery his people outwardly lived under, so
he sent His son Jesus, to save those who would believe in him.
III.
MATT 2:9 After they had heard the king, they went on
their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them
until it stopped over the place where the child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
The star was not the light of God but only a lesser light that led
the way to him. This reflection helped to illuminate the way for the
Magi but was not in itself the fulfillment of their spiritual desire.
Like wise, we need not settle for the relections in life that briefly
give glimpses of things about the Lord. This Christmas Settle not
for the star itself leaving us still in the darkness, but find a relationship
with God himself. Wise men are still seeking the true light of the
world, still rejoicing in his light that leads to the place of worshipping
the king.
